Terms & Conditions

Last updated 14 August 2026

These terms cover your use of Sceene — the website at sceene.in, the organizer dashboard, and the event pages and tickets we generate for you. By creating an account or buying a ticket through Sceene, you agree to them.

01What Sceene does

Sceene is a ticketing and event platform for community organizers. We give you an event page, ticket tiers, checkout, QR passes, a guest list, a door scanner and payouts to your bank.

Sceene is not the organizer or host of your events. The organizer is responsible for the event itself — running it, delivering what was advertised, and handling anything that happens there.

02Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who receives your code can sign in as you. Tell us at godiandrewwilson@gmail.com if you think someone else has access to your account.

You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country, and the details you give us (your name, your organization, your event details) must be accurate.

03Organizer responsibilities

When you host an event on Sceene, you agree to:

  • Describe your event honestly — date, time, venue, what's included, and any age or eligibility limits.
  • Hold the rights to the images, names and logos you upload.
  • Honour valid tickets, and tell your guests promptly if anything changes or the event is cancelled.
  • Follow the laws that apply to your event, including any permits, taxes and safety requirements.
  • Handle guest data you collect through Sceene responsibly, and only for running your event.

04Fees and payouts

Free events are free. For paid tickets, Sceene charges a platform fee of 5% of the ticket price, capped at ₹50 per ticket. The fee is added at checkout and paid by the guest, so you receive the price you set.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Money from ticket sales settles to your bank account on Razorpay's T+2 working-days cycle — weekends and bank holidays are not working days. You'll see the expected deposit date for every event in your dashboard. We may hold or delay a payout where we reasonably suspect fraud, chargeback risk, or a breach of these terms.

Keeping your payout and tax details accurate and up to date is your responsibility, as are any taxes you owe on your ticket revenue.

05Refunds and cancellations

Refund terms are set by the organizer. Guests can request a refund through Sceene; the organizer reviews and approves or declines it. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method.

If an event is cancelled, the organizer is responsible for refunding guests. The platform fee on a refunded ticket is returned along with the ticket price.

06Guests and tickets

A ticket is a licence to attend the event it was bought for, subject to the organizer's rules. Each ticket carries a unique QR code — sharing or copying it can mean it's already been scanned when you arrive.

Your contract for attending an event is with the organizer, not with Sceene. Where an organizer fails to deliver, we'll help you reach them and give you the record of your purchase, but we can't be responsible for the event itself.

07Acceptable use

Don't use Sceene to:

  • Sell tickets to anything illegal, or to an event you have no right to run.
  • Mislead guests about what they're buying.
  • Launder money, test stolen cards, or otherwise abuse the payment flow.
  • Upload malware, scrape the service, or try to break, overload or bypass its security.
  • Harass anyone, or post content that's hateful, or otherwise unlawful.

We can suspend or remove an account or an event that breaks these rules, and where the law requires it, report it.

08Your content

What you upload stays yours. You give us permission to host, display and adapt it as needed to run the service — for example resizing your cover art for your event page, tickets and link previews. We may show public event pages in search results and social previews.

09Availability

We work to keep Sceene running, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, and we'll give reasonable notice before removing something you depend on. Planned maintenance is scheduled away from peak event hours wherever we can.

10Liability

To the extent the law allows, Sceene isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

11Ending your use

You can stop using Sceene whenever you like, and ask us to close your account by emailing godiandrewwilson@gmail.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or creates risk for guests or for us. Events already sold have to be seen through: closing an account doesn't remove your obligations to guests who hold tickets.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we'll flag material changes in the app or by email before they take effect.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
